The mainstream media (MSM) for the past couple of days has headlined that "The Senate [defeats, rejects, etc.] Iraq [limits, pullout]" - you have seen these headlines.
In point of fact, it's the minority Repugs in the Senate who have threatened to filibuster any curbs on Bush the Decider's absolute authority in Iraq or, for that matter, at home. It is not "The Senate", it is the Republican minority that is preventing any action to bend The Decider to the will of most Americans, namely, that the Iraqi occupation must end.
The Dems need to correct this misleading and deceitful spinning of the facts. And the Dems also need to be reminded over and over that their control of the purse strings would, if they would only use it, bring Bush to the negotiating table, and the troops home faster than any other of the failed tactics they have tried so unsuccessfully.
