Today I learned that the software I had been using for commentary has an unacceptable privacy fault: It copies lots of personal data and sends the information to its mother ship, for reasons unspecified. (His site has no privacy policy.) The author of this software, when confronted with this breach, was quoted as "...telling users to 'fork WordPress' if they aren't willing to put up with this behavior."
Well, WordPress: Fork You!
Update: WordPress has issued a denial, but I have made the switch anyway. I was wanting a forum-type commentary anyway - more intuitive and potentially more interactive.
